Also my next project is going to be a green roof when I get my new shed. Been toying with idea for a while. Anybody already have one? Any tips?

Oh, those eyes, (swoon), and I swear it must be a sin for a man to have such an attractive voice. If only I was fifty years younger. lol
The owls barely got a mention, so too the Badgers.
I know Beavers were introduced as something new and exciting to watch, but you know what they say about pleasing all the people all of the time, give me birds, foxes and Badgers anyday.
There...moan over. (smile). |

| | Re: Autumnwatch Well it's goodbye to our section 4 wildlife nutter and his close companion Kate Humble. I have found AW a pure joy to watch and i cant go without giving the lesser nutter Simon King a big praise though i saw him when the starlings flew in to settle. I think he holds it down well but would love go Billy live on air? Each & everyone has ther quality's. But it just wouldn't be without the foxes, Does & Stags, Seals, Stoats, Pine Martins, Hedgehogs, Shrews, Whales Sea Eagles etc etc that were the stars of the show

I've just been watching a fine big dog Fox on camera one frighten the living daylights out of a large rat busily eating the scraps supplied by the farmer. |

Excellent cameraman and a good narrator. Did anyone see a nature programme on Sky where he spent a year on the Isle of Mull. Excellent stuff. |

They are lovely creatures, but maybe we should just leave things as they are? | I'm not sure if it's been mentioned here but someone on the BBC Autumnwatch forum made an interesting point - his job is to conserve the water ways by coppicing the trees, damming, etc. and basically doing the job the Beavers would do in that area if they were still in the wild. So maybe the Beavers would not be too much of a problem if the areas we didn't want them to 'coppice' were unsuitable habitats for them to set up home anyway?

Anyway, if that's the case, then I can't see any harm in re-introducing them - apart from the fact that the guy on the BBC Autumnwatch forum would be out of a job! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
