| | | Re: Autumnwatch I'm so glad this programme's back! I crash out on the sofa with my boys and we have a really happy hour together. They particularly like the films that Bill Oddie narrates - that man is so good at capturing the interest of children. And given that it's vital to train up the next generation of nature-lovers, I think he's doing a hugely important job.
Anyway, looking forward to the rest. Loved those Beavers! |

Tongue constantly lolling out of the side of his mouth.
Inane, incessant, pointless, uninteresting chattering and an ego bigger than everybody elses on the show put together.
Tongue lolling out of his mouth whenever he isn't interrupting Kate or speaking over Simon, to the point where you can't hear either of them.
Did I mention his tongue?
Get rid of the little fat oddie.
AW would be SO much better without it.
Doug
That said, the Shrew film that he "narrated" was very funny. I agree with that Vole Woman! |

| | | Re: Autumnwatch I thoroughly enjoyed it, Kate and Bill make a great team and I love Simon's sense of humour.
Autumnwatch is never going to be as busy & hectic as Springwatch when so much more is going on. A little fun & games is ok while they wait for something to happen is ok by me
Love the autumnal hues of Bill's new hair colour. |

| | | Re: Autumnwatch Last Year for Spring Watch I was asked to do an article for the Bristol based Western Daily Press, to go in there Saturday magazine.
I went down to Fishleigh Estate on press day, everyone was more than helpful making sure you got what you needed etc, lunch was provided, Simon and Kate sat and had lunch with the cameramen crew and us, had a laugh nothing serious......apart from one I spoke to Bill telling him that I`m a wildlfie photographer , just doing stuff for News papers to get money in to buy more camera gear etc, he was clearly not interested and when I mentioned I needed a couple of pics for the article of him, he just growled at me and said you`ve got 5 mins what do you want!
If I had gone ther on my own accord, I would have probaly said something and walked off.but I couldn`t.
As for Simon and Kate they had all the time in the world for everyone, and in the 8 hours I was there both of them had probaly forgotten more about Wildlife than Bill will every know!!
Cheers

Brian | Absolutely Brian.
He was interviewing my uncle (pretty high up in dragonfly circles) for his tv show once. He didn't even let my uncle speak! - and will not be granted any time by anyone in those organisations anymore. That, I'm informed, is far from an isolated incident!
Silly little man. |

| | | Re: Autumnwatch Oddie was even more annoying last night talking over both Kate and Simon. I don't understand why they were surprised that the ducks had fled when they launched there duck cams, may be it was something to do with all the noise. On a positive note, the Beavers were lovely as were the shots of the Fox and the Red Squirrel. I'm not sure what the non-starling roost was all about.
I'll carry on watching for the films though.

| | | Re: Autumnwatch I enjoy the programmes but then I'm not very knowledgeable yet. Perhaps the level is more suited to beginners or just viewers at home.
There's a lot of rubblish on tv thats far worse quality.
I did get the feeling that this time Kate was trying a bit harder to keep Bill in check
Yes I also vote for a little less rutting!

I agree it gets pretty annoying in places, but compared to most of the rubbish on TV, I think it's well worth watching! |

The piece on the duck camera found it boring ...Im sure they could have put that time to good use..Shame about getting the starling location wrong ..better luck tonight chaps.
Watching the Beavers was just great ...I want one..Ive got the tree's and the pond...
Hope you enjoyed watching the piece with Simon King Stewy..

petition to remove oddie? | I agree entirely, Bill Oddie ruins this wonderful show for me with his inane chatter, interruptions and talking over everyone. I think Bill imagines he is still a comedian, but nobody has that good an imagination |
