Earlier in the year, I read DA's autobiography which is a very pleasant, humorous read but also, perhaps, demonstrates how much broadcasting has changed. He more or less walked into a career by accident ..... as he admits, he has been very lucky throughout his life in getting paid to do the things that he wanted to do! I do envy him but think it couldn't happen to a nicer person or a better communicator.
... and with regard to another thread at the moment, this is a man who both knows what he's talking about and could talk about it in the best way. Quote:

His book "Life on Air" is a good read. I agree with you on your assessment of it.
