I think on your return home you'll find one of Tallulah's later friends waiting for you, I hope you don’t have any Lambs that need silencing!!!!!! Dr Lecter will see you now
And as for Kate, she's all mine

It depends, I suppose, on how you define 'famous' ....

Simply not true! A very odd spin on the facts.
My point being, (as many of you seem to have missed that in the first post) the BBC has a duty on PSB programming to educate and inform, not to excite male viewers (and judging by the lewd comments by some of the men in this forum, we all know what we're talking about)
It's simple, and forgive me for airing my opinion on a forum which is meant exactly for that (opinion and discussion) I am merely stating it is a shame the BBC can't find talent who actually know the subject they are reporting on, instead of a 'pretty' face.
And for all you forum members (mainly men) who make snide remarks, I am in fact a female zoologist and genuine trained ecologist and environmentalist who has been involved in broadcasting and education for 25 years, not someone with a grudge.
I would thank you for keeping your assumptions to yourself.

Indeed the BBC are very miselading then...i thought for once we were getting not only looks but the brains/knowledge/experience to back it up.
I dont know any of us who have intentionally made snide remarks about you though? and why would we...infact i dont even know who you are?..But you obviously know your stuff so i doubt anyone has a problem with that. Infact?..why dont you write to the Beeb and offer your services?. And please dont tell me my childhood hero Heather Cooper wasnt a real atronomist?....or Michaela Strachan wasnt "really wild" ?....at least we are safe in the knowledge that Johnny Morris really could speak animal.
Edit:
Hang about??..."The truth"?...If you read this thread from start to end you will see equal lewd remarks from an equal amount of ladies regarding some men on tv whom i dont know of...and secondly you will also notice you have no "first post"...infact you didnt start the thread so im confused by your remarks " and let me get this straight to readdress the balance of intentionally disparaging comments about my first post" and "My point being, (as many of you seem to have missed that in the first post) the BBC has a duty on PSB programming to educate and inform, not to excite male viewers"....I respect your opinions and as you rightly state this is an open forum/discussion...but dont come down so hard on the guys having a little fun banter when the girls were at it too! i guess us WAB'ers are a lewd bunch when we are having a bit of fun and long may we stay that way!
Edit2:
God you have me rattled now!....where does this comment come from anyway? "My point being, (as many of you seem to have missed that in the first post) the BBC has a duty on PSB programming to educate and inform, not to excite male viewers" when infact the thread was actually about "Does anyone think that notable naturalists, (phew careful spelling that one ) read and contribute to WAB without us knowing? I mean like does Bill Oddie, Dave Attenborough, Iolo williams etc post under a psuedonym ?"
So..come on "the truth" admit it?...your Terry Nutkins arent you?

Read that and see how rattled you get.
I still don't understand Hayley why you started the first thread in such a manor. If, and we have no reason to doubt you, you are a "zoologist and genuine trained ecologist and environmentalist who has been involved in broadcasting and education for 25 years" then you could have so much to offer us at this wonderful site. Why didn't you introduce yourself instead of blasting in the way you did, and then mention this little fact? Oh well it's done now, shame.
Oh and before I go Michaela Strachan was really wild. Oops sorry lewd remark

| | | Re: famous WABers I am a female WABber and as well starting this post I've also pointed out that Iolo Williams has fantastic legs in shorts. This causes many of my female friends to tune in to Iolo and watch wildlife progs they normally wouldn't bother with. Iolo knows his stuff, however, if he didn't, but he was passionate and enthusiastic about the way he read his script, what is the difference in the outcome ? People still watch and people still learn. BTW I think kate humble is gorgeous.
....and can I just say I love that as well as offering serious and intelligent input for this site peeps can still have a sense of humour. Chill out Thetruth !

Hayley | You cant expect people NOT to react when your first post amounts to nothing more than character assassination Hayley.Seemed a very odd way to begin posting on WaB.

Mark H | Hi Mark,
It's a video interview I did for the Staines Guardian about orchards in Hounslow. It's only about three minutes long, so I reckon I'm due another 12 minutes somewhere
Cheers,

It was a happy ending as it eventually passed that elastic band! |
