| | | Re: Mountain Biking Bicycle Motor Cross.
As originally it was just all about BMX racing..on old motorcross tracks and then later specially designed tracks for BMX...I used to race all through the eighties.
But also during that time peopel took them onto the streets and skate parks and the whole "freestyle" side of bmx was born...( Tricks and stunts ) which oddly enough has now happened to the original sport of motorcross...where they now use the bikes designed for the mud tracks to perform huge indoor arena jumps, airbourne tricks and stunts for the crowds. So it has all gone full circle..
These days im too old so i just like leisurely bike rides through my country lanes or on byways etc...ok i may pop the occasional cheeky wheelie though. |

I'm more XC than DH and 4X but I still love watching it. I have a mate who is rising in the DH ranks in the UK and he has no fear at all! It really does scare me just watching some of the stuff he does! |

| | | Re: Mountain Biking I managed to watch 90% of this...it clashed with the end of the grand prix.
Shame Steve Peat our big home was riding with a broken foot...then crashed again and completed the rest of the already dangerous ( including huge jumps) downhill course minus a saddle?....crazy man...watch that seat post.
We did come away with a Silver Medal in the womens downhill and a Bronze in the mens thanks to the Atherton brother and sister. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
