Bill Oddies Top Ten Birds

Bill Oddies Top Ten Birds...this friday ( 7th ) BBC2 at 7:30pm
There are gardening related programs either side of it as well.

It's been on before. No.1 is the duck because it's the one that introduces children to birdlife. I assume most toddlers feed the ducks at an early age.

Indeed i did...twice ( watched the repeat ) but awww i so wanted to hug her when she was crying...

The guy who done it with her...he does a lot of similar programs...thats not her fella is it? please say no?

You must be a real fan to watch her crying twice, did you record it as well. No, I don't think it was her bloke. I wonder if she would want to join me on a new TV programme I am considering Ultimate Water Vole surveying

Sorry if I spoiled it a bit Dan. There's the other nine which I recall are much more interesting. I think ducks were a bit of a let down he might as well have said little fluffy yellow chickens!

I agree, it was a bit of an anticlimax to have the ducks as the No1. However I guess in a way he is right, they introduce children to wildlife and for many will be the earliest and closest contact with wildlife.

Yes i can see the logis for sure...and i was obsessed with mandarins as a kid so they definately got me into birding...i then went onto have 2 pet ducks as a teen.

Oh.... i had this ringed in my tv guide .....realise i have seen it now ...and it was a bit dissapointing to be honest love watching nature programmes ...will look forward to Autumwatch now then

I managed to be in while this was on...quite enjoyed it...although was all very basic?

oh and whats with BILL ODDIE telling us the wren is the uks smallest bird?...hmmmm
