| | | Re: Blackpool I was at the South Walney Nature reserve last month in Cumbria. It was a lovely warm sunny and clear day , I could see right across Morecmbe Bay to Blackpool! I could clearly see the Tower, The Big one ( Massive Roller coaster) and a big wheel. I tought it was a lovely view and it brought back happy childhood memories. I think views, and what make them special are personal and it's mean to slag something off as it doesn't fit our own personal ideals.
I wouldn't tell you my favourite view because you all might be tempted to go and look then it would totally ruin for me . |

I've never slagged off any of the views! I've just expressed my surprise at their selection. The view you describe across Morecombe bay sounds OK, but it was'nt the one on the programme.
Now tell me your favorite view! I'll go and have a look while I'm up in Cumbria !

Keith. | Sorry Keith if you thought I was have a go at you - I wasn't. I never said you or anyone had slagged off the views. I was just making a personal observation about a town that was coming in for some hard criticism, of a view I had recently seen, and thought I could say some thing positive about Blackpool. I still think it's down to personal taste and that doesn't make any of us right or wrong. Quote:

Enjoy your trip - wish I was going. |
