Spring is such a busy time for many species. How about having more mammals, frogs and reptiles. I do get a buzz out of the birds rearing their chicks though. |

The running joke seems to be they're never there to be seen! |

| | | Re: Springwatch It'll be great as long as they don't show 10mins of the same Otter/ Red Deer footage as they have done in the recent Spring/autumnwatch programs there's only so many times i can put up with Simon King banging on about how wonderful they are |

| | | Re: Springwatch I think they try to stretch the programme out a bit too long and don't have quite enough actual content to fill the slot. But for all it's faults it's still well worth watching though. Gradually becoming a British Classic in it's own little way. |

Good luck to them. Its Simon King I can't stand - he gets right on my wick - but I shall be honest - its sour grapes on my part - he is doing a job I would give both arms and both legs to be doing . . .

| | | Re: Springwatch I love Springwatch, always something I look forward to. The first series was part of the catalyst that spurred me on to change the way I viewed my garden and make changes to attract "little" wildlife. I bet I'm not the only town dweller either which has been inspired.
It does come across though that Bill seems to tolerate Kate rather than actually like her.
What I particularly like is, when they find an individual with a special tale to tell about something special in their garden or local area. |

I can see folk with money, cars, big houses whatever and not turn a hair - I see Simon on some remote Scottish island (or wherever) with a camera in his mitts and action happening and I just go totally green . . . | | | Re: Spring watch We will be watching Spring watch as usual but I do get fed up of the interaction between Kate & Bill. Bill needs to remember he has two ears and one mouth and use them accordingly, Kate I think is beginning to stand her ground a little better, but why the heck should she have to? OK Bill has been around for years and he is getting on a bit - we have heard that many many times....... so for goodness sake Bill give it a darned rest!
A little less anthropomorphism whilst retaining interest would be good too.
As for Simon, I think he is the bees knees but I also think he has been corrupted by Spring watch! His own pro grammes have been great but I think his material in Spring watch has been stretched - beyond the limit! A little less repetition and a little less of this is what we will show you, this is what it is, this is what we said we would show you would also be a good thing to consider. Oh yes whilst I am on my bandwagon when the highlights come round lets just have highlights, i.e. highlights not all the associated banter and chat and we we thought and what we saw and this and that. Come on BBC CUT TO THE CHASE!!

| | | Re: Springwatch Thank You Kymba for some great information!!
Unfortunately my husband and I decided to put the T.V. in the attic on New Years' Day 2006 and it hasn't come down yet. Springwatch is the one time of the year we get tempted to reinstate the television as part of our life but we are scared it might start with Spingwatch and end with Eastenders.
ENJOY it for me and think of the deprived ones... |

| | | Re: Springwatch Well Once again I am already addicted to SpringWatch And I love the Nightwatch programme they have this year.. It is great being able to watch what is happening for a couple of hours during the night.. I am also constantly on their Webcams on their Website during the day to keep up with what is going on...I love the Fox Diary, and it is great that the Badgers seem this year to be a lot more active early in the evening so we get to see them on the show
