Fruit tree?

Hello all,

I have been trying to identify this tree for ages and was hoping that someone on this site would be able to help! My mum planted the tree from a seed 15 years ago and this year has been the first time it has flowered so it's quite exciting (it bore white yummy smelling flowers in autumn), my mum did tell me the name the fruit goes by in south east asia ("lokaat") but that hasnt really helped me id it. Does anyone know what fruit it is (does it have an english name?)? Or am i missing a trick and it is something really simple that everyone has in their back gardens? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you plan to eat the fruit when it is ripe?

It is a lovely tree to have in your garden and so unusual to flower in the autumn and have the fruit ripen over the winter and spring.
