Hi All
I thought Id share some images of a local Populus × canescens / Grey Poplar tree here. A species that may also interest those with an interest in specific fungi
Backdrop in Summer
Central as the focus in autumn as the leaf slowly turn red
The roots of Poplar / Aspen may play host to a specific variety of fungus classified as
Leccinum duriusculum or the Slate Bolete.
If anyone has any Aspen / Poplar trees established in their area, Then please take a photo and share it here on this thread. Likewise should you find any Leccinum duriusculum / Slate Bolete mushrooms growing in the area, then please take an image and share them on the thread below :
Leccinum duriusculum / Slate Bolete ? Help please
I am currently aiming to gather information about the sporadic nature of both tree and this variety if fungi within the British Isles. Many thanks for the help
Peace and Poplus
