| | | Re: Learning Trees It could well be a Birch, but it's not one of our two native species. Some of the ornimental vars. have similar leaves, coud be one of those.
Can you post a pic. of the whole tree, the bark and a catkin,( if it has any)?

I agree with John, it has all the characteristics of a Cherry, (but none of a Birch).
