| | | Tree bud ID help hi guys can anybody tell me what tree this is from ? the bud is not sticky and the trees bark was grey/brown with deep ridges

Yes, seems most likely to be a willow Salix or poplarPopulus] but don't rule out a lime Tilia. I'll say it's not a beech, ash, horse chestnut, alder &c &c &c! - you really need to take more photos of different aspects, especially at this time of year ......
