| | | Horse Chestnuts recovering? I am only seeing healthy Horse Chestnuts, are they over last year's problems?
Meanwhile, here's a nice flower pic though there seem to some mites or something on the stems.

| | | Re: Horse Chestnuts recovering? I think it's too early yet for the damage to show. In the last 3 weeks I've seen the mini swarms of Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner moth below the host trees, so I'm sure once the larvae emerge you will start to see those ugly brown blotches again. |

| | | Re: Horse Chestnuts recovering? The chestnuts in my park appear healthy at the moment with good, healthy crowns. Like people have said though, it's a little early for the leaf-miner to be showing. To look at the crowns now though, it does look like the trees have coped well with the previous few years stress. One of mine possibly has Pseudomonas syringiae and has suffered from leaf miners but today stands with a dense, full crown.
We'll see. |
