We have a lot of this in my local park. I have only just found out what it is. Most of it is making quite large trees now, but there is also a long clipped hedge. Whereas many of the non-natives never appear to have any bugs etc on this one does. It's obviously not a food plant for our wildlife, but does seem to act as a sort of sundeck or viewing platform

I've seen various shield bugs, the two little green spiders plus others, bees and hoverflies and zillions of ladybirds. Speckled bush crickets, numerous flies (which must be why the spiders like it.
Do you have any near you? What do you see there?
