Advice on Acer Flamingo

I need some info on a tree and cant post as the page not found keeps coming up..

The tree is an Acer Flamingo
Acer 'Flamingo' (Ash-Leaved Maple Tree) Buy Acer Trees Online

I want to chop it down and wondered if I need to kill the roots would the tree sprout suckers..

Please be careful about chopping any tree down. I had ten fir trees in my garden which were eight feet high, The thing is, I planted the bloody things in the first place. I had to get permission from my local Council to fell them. I did love them, but my Border collie who used to lay under the branches was alergic to them. His hair used to fall out in clumps. Got rid of the trees and he got rid of his problem. He still died but that was from old age, about four years later.

I hadn't thought of that I planted it and it didn't turn out how it looked when I first planted it.
its about 10ft high atm..
I will have to get onto the council and see where I stand..

It will sprout from the base. So if you are able to cut it down, you might want to treat the stump or dig the roots out.

Cheers Dorts this is what I wanted to know..
now a rethink maybe it will stay and just get pruned..
