I'd say Sorbus sp., related to the Whitebeam, but could be totally wrong . I remember trying to ID a similar tree and gave up, I could not decide between a couple of species.

Yes, Deb is right. It is a variety of Sorbus, Whitebeam.
There are well over two dozen 'wild' kinds and many more cultivated varieties.
Very difficult to be any more precise.
