| | pink and white blossom I took this photo a short while ago. As you can see, this tree is bearing both pink and white blossom.A lady who lives nearby told me that originally,the tree had borne just pink blossom then about 5 years ago, it had started to produce white blossom also. |

| | | Re: pink and white blossom What you have is a Cherry. The tree that was planted was a variety called 'Kanzan'. However this tree was originaly 'grafted' onto a Wild Cherry Rootstock.
This wild cherry has also developed along with the grafted part and so now you have what looks like 'two trees on one'.
Normally the 'rootstock' does not produce shoots, but it can happen if not dealt with at an early stage.
