Does anyone know the name of this tree. Plenty of bees visiting it today. 
Also a ladybird feeding from a flower. I always thought their diet was greenfly. |

This looks like a 7-spot ladybird.Pollen also forms part of a Ladybirds diet.

I stood by the tree for about half an hour and photographed all the insects visiting - there were plenty. |

One of the definitive tests for Dogwood is if you take a leaf and gently pull it in half, wispy 'threads' will pull out of the veins, so the two halves appear to be joined together by the threads. As far as I know, this is the only shrub/tree which you can do this with. |
