| | | orchard trees I'm hoping to participate in some orchard survey work. I know my cooking apple from my victoria plum but I'll need to know more. Are there any good books or anything to help identify old varieties of fruit trees? Cheers. |

| | | Re: orchard trees Look out for The Plums of England by H V Taylor and The Apples of England (same author) Published in 1949. Don't cover every variety, but could be a great help. Nice colour photographs of many varieties.

Get in touch with Common Ground. They have a wide range of literature and are the main movers behind Apple Day in October.
