Wild Bush with buds for ID

Found on my golf course which is built on an old Monastry site, So lots of fruit bushes. But this one I can't identify. It's about 2mtrs tall by 3mtrs spread, and was swarming with wasps in September. It looks similar but smaller leaves than a Ivy type tree creeper that is common in North Herts

Well I'll be!! Width of the leaves put me off. Must be plenty about then, I will look for more. What's the little yellow flower that the wasps were on? does some sort of fruit come later?

Hi chip, welcome to WAB

The leaves of mature Ivy plants (mature enough to flower) are a different shape to the familiar three-pointed ones. Ivy flowers late in the year and becomes a magnet for bees, wasps and butterflies feeding up before hibernation. The wasp is on an Ivy flower-head, which will produce black berries over the winter.
