| | | Wild Bush with buds for ID Found on my golf course which is built on an old Monastry site, So lots of fruit bushes. But this one I can't identify. It's about 2mtrs tall by 3mtrs spread, and was swarming with wasps in September. It looks similar but smaller leaves than a Ivy type tree creeper that is common in North Herts
thanks |

| | | Re: Wild Bush with buds for ID Well I'll be!! Width of the leaves put me off. Must be plenty about then, I will look for more. What's the little yellow flower that the wasps were on? does some sort of fruit come later? |

The leaves of mature Ivy plants (mature enough to flower) are a different shape to the familiar three-pointed ones. Ivy flowers late in the year and becomes a magnet for bees, wasps and butterflies feeding up before hibernation. The wasp is on an Ivy flower-head, which will produce black berries over the winter.
