| | | I have something strange on my beech tree!
We have two odd things onb our beech trees in Leitrim, Eire and wondered if anyone could identify them ands more importantly tell if they are harmeful to the trees.

If the injury is low down, it could be deer damage but it seems rather a lot for that.

The image on the right looks like a decent infestation of Felted Beech Coccus Cryptococcus fagi but someone will be along soon to confirm or disagree with my diagnosis of these little sap sucking critters!
