Last weeks program was excellent, about Yew's and their history.
Full of interesting facts.
Interesting bit about how Pagans had their sites around Yew trees as the trees were part of their rituals, and that the christians usurped the Pagan sites to build their churches, Hence, the reason why so many churchyards contain Yew trees.

I havent seen the programme but apparently - not sure how true it is - our native trees are in danger of dying out in the future because of climate change, with it getting hotter. Is this true or is someone telling aload of porkies?

There was a report link on one of the previous threads about replanting trees, beeches
especially and it would be a waste, as the poor old beech among others would quickly be lost due to climate change something about climax planting or forestry?
