| | | Re: This Rowan has a good view. Thanks everybody for your comments. When my hubby was well enough he used to walk past this little tree regularly, and he always said it must have been the luckiest seed ever to get a foot hold up there. He'd always come home and say ,the tree is still there,I've said "good morning" to it. The lane that pylon is on runs across a mountain approx 1500 feet up and very exposed to the elements,it must be one tough little cookie.

| | | Re: This Rowan has a good view. Rowans do sometimes grow on trees where enough old leaves have accumulated to provide compost, they are known as "Flying Rowans" and were years ago believed to hold even more magic powers than a normal Rowan.
I guess the top of the pylon is decayed and would soon need to be replaced it would be worth finding out when this is to be done so you could save the Rowan by planting it in your garden, it would be an interesting talking point. |

We could do a new thread showing the weird places where plants grow . | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
