| | | Palm Tree Fruit Around 5 years ago I planted a small Palm Tree no bigger than a foot tall by the pond area, today it stands at least 12 foot tall and has produced fruit for the first time.
I'm well excited |

| | | Re: Palm Tree Fruit It looks like a Chusan palm (Trachycarpus fortunei) and them's flowers, not fruit! If you look VERY closely, you'll see that each tiny yellow ball opens into a tiny rounded flower. Then (if mine are anything to go by over the last few years) they will just all drop off. I was thrilled when one of mine first flowered! It's in the front garden and is obviously very happy there. Two more in the back are smaller and have not (yet?) flowered although they were all planted at more or less the same time - probably just too much competition there! All came as very small seedlings from Cornwall.
They are nice and hardy and survive snow and frost with no problems.
