| | | Trees for ID - possibly Acer sp and Ulmus sp Hi
Is anyone able to help me with these IDs.
1.
I think this is an Acer sp. Perhaps to early to tell exactly which one and unfortunately the photo of the flowers not clear enough. But perhaps someone can help me.
2.
I think this might be a type of Elm. Can anyone tell from this photo?
Thanks

I'm not great at IDing Acer spp., but I think your first picture is of a Norway Maple, Acer platanoides, due to the long whiskers on the leaf-tips.
2 is definitely an Elm, and given those large buds, I'm going to say it's a Wych Elm, Ulmus glabra, but again I'm not 100% |

| | | Re: Trees for ID - possibly Acer sp and Ulmus sp I'm glad it is not just me that struggles. I first thought Sycamore, but the leaves just didn't seem right.
Thanks for the suggestions - they seem good to me. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
