mystery tree...can you help?

I am trying to identify a tree in my neighbours back garden so I can work out if I need to be concerned about it being less than 4 meters away and as tall as the roof.

It is evergreen round shinny leaves. Dark green on top and light green underneath slightly hairy. The leaves sit alternatively on the branch. The tree has small light greeny yellow seeds. The trunk is about 2.5m high but then the crown is as high as the house, and very dense.



Can anyone help?

Its a Griselinia, probably Griselinia littoralis - much (over) used for hedging and if not kept trimmed reaches tree-sized ........

I would not worry too much about the Griselinia being 4 metres away from your house.
If you would like to see it reduced maybe you could talk with your neighbourif you are on good terms with them.
