If your concered about them, you could wrap the stem in horticultural fleece, but im sure they will be fine in your garden. How long will you have to wait for a crop?

Woodman, I took your advice and added a third tree tie as I am very prone to wind here Thanks.

Secdean, according to the nursery, in the first summer after planting I must remove all fruitlets. So I expect to have my first small crop next year. The Scrumptious is a spur-bearer and it's supposed to "produce heavy crops even as a young tree". We'll see.
