I found a sycamore with red leaves today. What is its latin name?  
One tree was half red and half green!   |

Well its not a Sycamore....although it is an 'Acer' of some sort...not a japanese maple but im guessing some other ornamental maple...non native..Yuk.  (then again Sycamore is non native trash too).

Sycamore is not trash, it beats any bird table hands down for the food it provides young birds...... - but that's perhaps another thread  |

Yes this is an ornamental acer which has some degree of reversion - some of the leaves are reverting back to green.
