| | | ID help from lime tree avenue Hi
found this today at Clumber. I thought it would be quite distinctive but I can't seem to get a match.I thought it could be a type of Collybia but any help would be appreciated
Cap up to 3cm and viscid , like a Butter Cap. The colour hasn't faded much in 8 hours.Stem bulbous at base. Found under lime.
Thanks,
neil |

| | | Re: ID help from lime tree avenue Well 24 hours after picking the cap is still greasy in the centre and after looking around in the Gallery etc.I'm thinking they are C. butyracea but they are very different to what I'm used to seeing!?

neil | Hi Neil
Hope you had a good day on Lime Tree. I went today and it was excellent.
I've collected some of of this species for further work. Even though this species is normally easy to identify, something doesn't quite add up .... but then I was never any good at maths
