| | | New To Trees Help With ID Hello,
I've recently become interested in trees and bought a copy of The Hamlyn, Trees Of Britain And Europe. This seems quite a handy little book. I was wondering if its OK to post in photos of trees at back of the house and around my local area? If more experienced people could help me identify the tree. This would speed up my learning quite a bit, than thumbing through the book trying to work out which is what.
Cheers. |

| | | Re: New To Trees Help With ID Hi Leuce, welcome to WAB! I'm sure if you posted pictures of trees some of the clever people on here would help identify them for you. If you include close-ups of the bark and twigs that would probably help (you can tell I'm not an expert on this subject!).
You need to upload your photos into the galleries here (probably into Unidentified or Forum Images) and then 'cut and paste' the Forum Code from there into your post. If you've not already seen it, there's a helpful information page about this - http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/information |

It's good practice to get used to identifying from winter buds. It's the wrong time of year to start though Once buds burst their shape is no longer recognisable. I find I then have to wait until the leaves open properly before I'm comfortable identifying again. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
