Tree hugging

The last time I went bushcrafting in the woods, we did tree hugging. I was very sceptical at first when it was suggested, but it was not what I was expecting and what we did was probably not true tree hugging if there is such a thing. What we did was to go into the woods in pairs and one person was blindfolded and then turned around a few times to get disorientated and then taken via a non direct route to a tree, any tree will do. Then the blindfolded person had to get as much info on the tree as possible by hugging it and feeling it untill they felt that they knew the tree they were led to. Then they were led away from the tree back to where they started, via a non direct route again, then spun around again and then the blindfold was removed and the person then had to go and identify the tree they were led to. It was great fun and all six of us were able to identify their trees.

That is a very sound idea,but tell me more about the some one else approach

I was thinking friend or relation, but I suppose you could always try and blindfold the dog...................Jon

I did once, it was just instintive. I went walking through the woods and I like always to watch at the trees, see how old they could be, if they have been touch by a thunder, etc etc. Sometimes I take some photos.
This time it was an old tree that I fallen in love with it. I took a photo and I talked to it and I gave a hug to say bye.

....sometimes I like to talk and hug cats I meet at the streets as well. It is nice to feel a warm little body.

i just watched the clip,that poor fella why did he let it get so big befor sorting it out,did any one look at the other clip of the feller who had the masive groth on his face,never seen anything like it in my life,it is now starting to affect his breathing,sorry i seem to have changed the thread.
