| | | Boddie Signing Off Will be in Stresa, on the lake Maggiore, Italy for three days of exams as of tomorrow. Wish me luck. Scenery is supposed to be beautiful - like something out of the 80's, so will hopefully get some good walking in and a few decent photos.
Best

I've just done a quick google search on the area and it looks incredible. Best of luck with the exams, and if they don't go too well just tell the examiner that it's their fault because you were distracted by the scenery and spent too much time looking out the window. |

| | | Re: Boddie Signing Off Thanks for all of the good luck messages. I passed, with flying colours, courses on laparoscopy, stapling, surgical techniques and vessel sealing, so a few new skills under my belt.
Misread the agenda day one and was up at 6 for brekkie, only to be informed that I did not have to start until 2.30 p.m.
4 hours later I had walked 6 miles of the lakefront, and back again, got some fantastic pictures and bags of fresh air. Nicely set up for the exams later.
Stayed in a very nice hotel - the Borromees, to anyone who knows the area, which is on Stresa's front, and met my UK colleagues and those that I trained with, as well as many more colleagues from throughout Europe. I can thoroughly recommend a visit to this area. The weather was great, somewhat warmer than here, the lake is fantastic - apparently one of the islands featured in a Starwars film? It was the view from my balcomy , but I have never seen any of the films so did not recognise it, but yes it is stunning and I will definitely return. |
