TV heads up tonight

in 15 minuites (ie 7.15pm) on channel five Lemur island - nothing to do with british wildlife admittedly bt hey , they are cute and fluffy

and at 9pm on channel four Grand designs - a couple aiming to spend £50k on building an environmentally freindly houseboat entirely from recycled scrap

Re: TV heads up tonight

did any body else seethe grand designs then ? - pair of nutters , how not to build a houseboat, no design , no mooring , no idea ?????

its a shame that the eco freindly builds all to often fall into the bonkers category - all vision and no practical ability - gives eco building a bad name

Re: TV heads up tonight

Down right embaressing and even more so for me and wild woman as .....well......i rode past this boat in may last year with a friend and we laughed at the thing.....its sited on the north kent marshes local to me and julie .....and every bloomin shot of the people and the boat yards made the area look like a ***** camp ....even made rochester look grim...and yes...what a couple of nutters they were?....and didnt help the "previous" builder either by highlighting his shabbyness.......

id love to know where the church/anderson shelter on water is now?

Re: TV heads up tonight

I wouldnt be suprised to find that it sank and /or capsized in the recent storms - that much wind resistance on a boat with no keel is not a good idea

the real shame is that self builds on boats can be a really cool idea but it does help if you have a clue - Its something i'm looking at in the not too distant ... and for considerably less than £80k too .... for £80k you could get a really smart wide beam custom built - pair of muppets.

Indeed a beautiful and intriguing part of North Yorkshire. Must try and watch that.
I've never understood the naming of these things: why isn't the valley called 'Uredale' rather than Wensleydale? Why, when the Ure and Swale join up with Ouse Gill Beck (a tiny stream), is the 'new' river called the Ouse?

River Ure Overview

Oh well, beware the ides of March .....

Grrr I was reminded twice about this and still forgot!! I think I was even there when they were filming it!! There certainly was a film crew from the same people that do meerkat mansion at Berenty at the same time as I was ...
Does anyone know if it is repeated?

So are tottenham, gets my vote tonight, I'm afraid ... I'm particularly afraid because it will probably be 0-0 and go to penalties
