Well they were very tall compared to me.I could see by members photos Pete was tall but didn't realize how much.I was also surprised at Boddies hight he looked so much shorter in the photos. They didn't walk fast but with their hight and long legs they moved along much faster than me with my little legs.Couldn't run in that bog. They were real gentlemen.Held gates open for us waited for us to catch them up and didn't mind when we had to stop a few times. We first started of with meeting the boys at the camping grounds.Nearly missed the turning into Cloud Farm.It was a long rutted track. My friends car is a Volvo so it didn't mind a bit

As for Andrews Merc...well as we pulled into the car park there they were below us with the car stuck slap bang in the middle of the field.Laugh I nearly cried laughing.Jackie and I found the facilities

and when we came back the boys were there and we introduced ourselves. They had to wait for the farmer to tow them out so Jackie and I sat inside the little shop come cafe with a Kitchen Table between the shopping shelves and had a very nice cuppa.Came out and the boys were back in the field with the farmer and his four wheel drive.Well! The farmer was also stuck

I stood above them and took photos Laughing my head off.Jackie was watching the shop outside as to tell anyone who wanted anything to tell them the man would be back soon.Next we know back comes the farmer to get a tractor which at first seemed like it wasn't going to start.I was close to hysterics laughing.
Photos to follow when I have stopped laughing long enough to process them.Well the farmer gave us a map of a round walk of 6 miles and said if we were lucky we might see a heron and if we were really lucky deer but he said unlikely but you never know. The walk started along the riverbank and was so pretty, just cloudy with a bit of sun.On we went past lovely scenery then after a while came out into wilderness. There was a riding school at the farm too so at one point we had to stand aside to let them past.Mostly girls and Boddie had a twinkle in those lovely eyes and hope in his heart for later

(No chance hehehe).Well I think we must have past where we should have turned of the track for the 6 mile round trip as we found ourselves right in the middle of nowhere with not a tree or greenery for miles in front high up and looking down into the valleys below where we wanted to be

Finally found a track where we climbed a fence and walked through the dead heather and moss till we reached a stream.Boddie had his wellies on so was ok.Not many stones to get across ,Petes trainers got a bit wet to say the least my boots kept me pretty dry as I half paddled and half jumped across.Boddie was ready to help but I took off as quick as I could b4 the water had chance to seep in.hence very wet trousers and Boddie saying with a laugh you beep beep nutter to me.I don't think he believed what he had just seen

.Jackie was having problems getting across on that bit so Pete walked along from where we were with Jackie walking the other side and boddie joined her and they found a bit where she felt able to get across and with their help she did. What an adventure. We finally got back to base and went in search of a pub with food.We went to Lynmouth and a chippy (Pub didn't do food)After a long wait sat down to fish and chips with generous portions and cooked beautifully. They were licensed so Boddie got a pint and Jackie and I enjoyed a cuppa. We walked back to the carpark where we said our goodbye so Jackie and i could make our way home before it got to late as the roads were very narrow and steep and bendy so we needed to get back to the motorway b4 it got dark.
There ended a lovely day despite getting caught in heavy showers and wading through mud and streams we had a lovely time.Jackie and I are now both in our own homes in our jimjams aching in places we didn't know we could ache unable to put one foot in front the other.Drinking gallons of tea and very tired but happy.
Thank you Pete and Andrew for your humour, your understanding and your patience with 2 old ladies who are as mad as hatters but very honoured and happy to have met you.You are 2 misunderstood lovely boys and your mothers should be proud of you

If I had had a son and they were like you I know I would be.Hugs to you both
