C4 are planning a new series of 9 x1 hr programmes, showing 'engineering' work for wildlife to be broadcast in the Time Team/ Scrap Heap Challenge slot on Sunday nights( a pilot, with Bill Bailey, was broadcast over Christmas which involved constructing a 50 m culvert under a road to prevent
Otter road kills).
Series presenters are Sascha Norris (Oxford Uni Wildcrew) Dusty Gegde (greenroof champion) and Jim Stansfeld (Scrapheap challenge).
They are looking for filming opportunities where something is built/constructed which then houses/attracts/provides access for wildlife. They are presently in discussion with the Home Office about bat roosts and WW II bunkers..... you get the idea....
Filming will be between April and August.. about six days filming allocated per programme.
