Disposable cameras

These disposable cameras are a complete rip off.

Now I have no records of my recent trip to Norfolk

Re: Disposable cameras

Why?
I mean why have you no record of your trip?

Disposed of it?
My kids usually take one on school trips. They have always had some pictures back, the big problem is getting the kids to understand the fixed focal distance and the need to stand at least 6' away from their subject.
The alternative to carrying your Mega SLR & kit is obviously a neat compact.
My avatar was taken with a compact (and a little help from my 'scope)

Problem is that it is horses for courses, every disposable camera I have used has done the job that it was capable of doing, photographing anything smaller than a Swan and less or more than about 10' away is not one of the things that they are capable of doing. To be truthful in the context of what can be done with a SLR or compact with a lcd screen they are very limited, for wildlife photography they are a "No, No".

Re: Disposable cameras

I have often felt the same about speed cameras.

If anything, they slow you down.

Nothing to do with cameras but;

Did you hear about the bloke who went into his local hardware shop?
He picked up a tin of insect spray and asked the shopkeeper,
"Is this any good for Flies?
The shopkeeper replied.
"No Mate, it kills them"

Not always, sometimes you realise that you are driving at 30 in a 40 mph area and have to speed up.

Don't ever buy walking boots - I did once and now I have to go barefoot!

Disposable towels are just as bad: I need about ten just to dry one arm.
