Listening to Desert Island Discs last weekend, I thought Kirsty said her guest this week would be Paul Mabbot! I wondered if a butterfly net would be his luxury item. (My hearing isn't what it was, looking in the RT she actually said Paul Abbott).
Anyway, it got me into thinking what some of you might take with you, both musically and itemwise to a desert island. Keep it to 8 in total please.

1) My I pod (with bird and animals sounds on it for Identification)
2) Note Book
3) pens, pencils and Crayons
4) Bird, Plants and Animal Identification book
5) Lord of Rings by Tolken ( fav Book)
6) Camera ( lots of reels of film)
7) Binoculars
8) My two Dogs |

2.A double,lightweight,waterproof, sleeping bag.
3.A wind-up digital camera
4.A wind-up computer
5.A guitar,doesn't need batteries( don't want to spoil the ecology )
6.A REALLY,REALLY good book on deadly species!!
7.Birdseed, to attract something to photograph.
8.A good pan for cooking.

4) hifi and huge speakers - advantage of desert island being you can play the tunes as loud as you like
5) lifetime supply of magners (for the evenings)
6) lifetime supply of nurofen (for the next mornings)
7) wind/solar powered generator
8-10 ) spare tents for when my wab buddies come to visit

Tissues and my afro comb. | I thought of the water purification.. but decided to boil.. and when I cant boil was going to make a reed bed.. and a sand filter. That gives you room for tissues and comb.. combined as musical instrument Susie hheheh

Very useful things, zip ties. Good for making insect hotels amongst other uses. Visit me on my island, bring your coconut booze, I'll fire up the bbq and we can discuss.
