How do I find out a grid reference for somewhere?
Can I use google earth? |

Hi mrs fish,
One way is to use the Ordnance Survey's free Get-A-Map service. OS Get-a-Map
The grid reference shows in the status bar at the bottom of the window that opens when you click the pink button. You can search and zoom to find your location.

Thanks, I think I have done it right, I got TM157 444GB, does that sound right for a grid reference? |

Yes, if its Portman Rd, Ipswich.
