boddie texted me today to say that he has seen the collins bird guide (review of which is here http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/re...duct/24/cat/14) available in matalan for only 4 quid ... i already have a copy but this could be a great buy for anyone who doesnt

I will have to PM Andrew to see if he can get me a copy. It will be handy to have one at home in good condition instead of the battered one I carry around with me.
