New house!

Im just days away from me and mum moving to the new (old) country house.
Went there today to start taking stuff round and the amount of bird species i have already spotted is amazing ! to the side of our garden is a small shaw ( woodland) part ours part national trust...( the house neighbours a large national trust house and grounds) saw a large flock of long tailed tits who seemed more colourful than usual? winter plume i guess?....saw about 5 thrushes which is more than i saw in all of 2006 !! woodpecker, green and great spot. Robins, blue tits, and loads of other species,....but most exciting of all i spotted a load of owl boxes in the woods put up by the trust i guess as it overlooks a wildflower paddock and grassland ! cant wait !

Dan

I have a lot of plans....large organic veg plot...Chickens /ducks and possibly a goat.

A wildlife pond

A feeding station and maybe a hide ( or at least a flappy window in my shed)

Wildife homes, hedgepig houses, owl boxes, bird boxes ...oh and wildflowers where ever i can squeeze them.

Re: New house!

Sounds idyllic. Which NT property are we talking about? We could come and wave over the fence.
