Cost of feeds

How much are you paying for your bird foods.

I have been getting mine mail order for years now. But if you live local to Spalding have you tried Birdseed Online.

I took a trip over there today and was suprised by the savings I made eg. 13kg of Premium Peanuts collected was only £13 or £19 delivered. Helping me save money so in the long run can afford to buy more feed.

Re: Cost of feeds

I wiil certainly look at buying from them when I need more feed. They seem very reasonable.

Thank you Carp-angler.

Re: Cost of feeds

And what is more, apart from Peanuts the other seeds are grown in Lincolnshire which means fewer bird food miles. Cannot be bad

Re: Cost of feeds

What an excellent site Carpangler. I am only half an hour away from there so will be certain to visit them.

Good information on the content of various feed and which birds like what. A lot of the seed is grown by the farm... not imported.

Helpful chap too. I just phoned them to see if they had a product I have been waiting for from another site since before christmas.... and they have!!

Re: Cost of feeds

I shop around for different bits. Wilkinsons currently have good deals on suet cakes and sunflower hearts. Have a really good local pet shop which helps. Hunt for bargains. Last tub of fat balls were £7 for 75/ half price in countrywide.

Good site. A little bit cheaper than my usual seed supplier.

Re: Cost of feeds

Cost whatever - great to see that this feed is being produced locally - well done!

Re: Cost of feeds

I spent a couple of days with the owner on the isle of May last year and its as organic and wildlife friendly as they can make it. There are also wildlife conservation projects ongoing on the farm. On the orders I've made its always arrived in three days and its good quality.
Regards

Re: Cost of feeds

Their seed prices look pretty good. I think wigglywigglers works out cheaper for live food.
