I've tried and got the message -
"Please note this player is optimsed for Microsoft Internet Explorer. Other browsers such as Netscape and Firefox will work but with limited functionality. Best performance can be obtained by installing the Gecko ActiveX Plug-in"

Having bypassed that message it worked fine in Firefox, better than IE which kept stuttering in both video and audio. You just cant win !

That's great, Dennis. Lots of very interesting-looking little programs, about fascinating subjects. I'll keep you posted. I'd recommend other people have a go. I'm sure their computers are more in 2007 than mine is!

Well I signed up and got the activation e-mail but it won't activate my account. Tried in two different browsers several times but still no go. All I get is 'website found waiting for reply' in the status bar, but won't go any further Will try again tomorrow sometime.

its a lovely clear streaming pic too....but im finding it locks up and pauses quite frequently? any idea why?

Have you tried going into settings and changing your streaming speed ????

Like Carp-Angler suggested, it sounds like you are trying to view a stream thats abit high for your connection. The Channel streams content in formats ranging from 56kb up to 1800kb, the player should detect your connection speed and select a suitable rate to stream at, however this at times can be abit wrong. Click on the settings tab and select a lower rate, for a broadband connection you should select a rate between 100kb - 800kb.

We haven't yet had this problem occur so i'm unsure at the moment what it could be, if you send us an E-Mail at enquiries@countrychannel.co.uk and include you username i can manually activate your account and assist you with any further problems.
