Hooray, just heard that our hosepipe ban has been lifted. I'm off to water the garden. Now where did I put my waterproofs......wellies......umbrella?

Oh, we'll have the water butt in action again come the summer recycling the bathroom water - it just brought out a bit of a hollow laugh on the day the pond is overflowing on to the patio.

I think the British Museum have a couple on display. I'm told they were once used to wash cars

Let's hope that the water companies spent some of their money on repair work last year while all the reservoirs and pipe were near empty ..... that's me a logical optimist (but basically knowing that nothing will be different in three months ).

Heard on 5 live news earlier that wyevale(?) garden centres are now stocking more drought tolerant plants such as cacti for the garden. Not good news really, mostly non-native species.

We have neighbours opposite that have wasted enough water to fill a reservoir. They wash all 5 of their cars every weekend a leave the street awash with soap suds.
It makes me sick.

They need a water meter! Might tighten their belts then! I would be mad.
