| | | I am back Well here I am battered bruised and tired but so glad to be home.
My friend picked me up from hospital today at 6pm.I am very tired but not sleepy so Thought I would catchup on some threads. Was kept in a little longer as I ended up with a bad asthma attack brought on by dry air with the central heating (which I dont have) and also my stress levels which also can bring on an attack. The doctors and nurses didnt really want to send me home as I havent got a nebuliser and I had been having them in hospital but as I explained to them I have had asthma for 40 years and it wasnt nearly as bad as I have had before and I didn't have access to one at home anyway as I used to pop down the road to the casualty to use theirs as The local hospital is 5 mins away.
I only needed it then cos I used to leave things too long.As I was put straight on steroids the day it started I would be fine. They asked the doctor to come see me again but my consultant came instaed and she knows how hospital gets me stressed and as she has operated on me 6 times over the years she was happy to discharge me as the operation site was ok.I have been sent home with the drain in and will have district nurses in each day until it can be removed. She did this last time as she knows I recover better when not stressed out. Thanks Thanks for all your messages on the other thread they were much appreciated

It is so frustrating not being able to do even the simple things grrr.Fell a bit teary today but thats normal for me after a hospital spell and I cant do anything.Friend is going to take me for a drive on Friday after nurse has been to cheer me up.As she is medically trained I should be ok.She was my midwife for three of my kids and some of the grandkids but is now retired.Looking forward to that Oh and just finidshed reading through the add five words that cheered me up.What a daft lot we are on here but what fun
Thanks for all the good wishes everyone

Be a while before I gad anywhere.Got to get over the asthma attack first.Stitching not giving me any trouble. Will have to wait a few weeks before I can really get about again cant risk another hernia.I think 6 operations in the same place is a bit over the top as it is

It's what it does to me, takes a week or so to clear. Drink lots of water. I've had serial hernia ops. like you. No fun, is it? Take care.

I had to refill my feeder yesterday, the storm is now here and the only birds about are the gulls and a couple of feral pigeons who I think can't land due to the wind |
