| | | What a difference a day makes. Yesterday was grey and windy. Today, although there were very high winds and driving rain this morning..this afternoon has been ery windy but beautiful. Especialy so as I stopped off on the way home to let the dogs have a run... and saw... a pair of Little Egret... a flock of Lapwing mixed with Grey Plover and a flock of Barnacle Geese. Of course I didnt have the camera with me. I generaly dont take it on shopping trips.
On the way out I saw a Sparrow Hawk chasing a Sparrow (what else ) the sparrow made it to the safety of the Leylandii. What a day!!
jaki.

| | | Re: What a difference a day makes. We had a beautiful day here yesterday, sunny, clear blue sky and quite warm if you could get out of the northerly wind. Birds were singing and chasing each other around - either pairing up or fighting for territory.
Today is pretty grim - gales gusting up to 70 miles/hour and horizontal driving rain this morning, has given way to passing squalls and that funny coloured sky you usually get when its going to snow!
No wonder wildlife is so mixed up! |

| | | Re: What a difference a day makes. Sounds like a great day. I've not left the house and garden, so have had to make do with the entertainment from 20 greenfinches trying to combat each other and the wind and avoid divebombing blue tits to get at the food. One of the blue tits got blown off course and ended with its beak buried in the fence, poor thing. It seemed to be OK. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
