Had my pre-op checks today go into hospital tomorrow,operation Wednesday.The family are still here.They were due back this week but the decorators are behind schedule and also My daughter will have to go up in advance to get all the dust cleared from the house before they can get Alycia home.Her friends are all rallying around to help,of course it goes without saying that if I didnt have to go for my op I would have gone up with her.Going to miss you all.Havent been on very much as Alycia likes to go on Cbeebies site and as the computer I have just for the kids is upstairs she cannot manage that.So anything that keeps her smiling is ok by me.Be a while before I am taking photos again but I have a lot of posts to catch up on.I am looking forward to the badge for when I am out and about again.One for my coat and one for the camera case

I will be thinking of you, I am having an op on thursday and I am a bit scared that is if it is not cancelled due to the winter vomiting bug that has hit our hospital

Now an encouraging tale - to encourage you with your operations.
Many, many years ago when I was a boy, my cousin and I took turns in sleeping in the same lovely feather bed as my gran who lived alone. My cousin, who was older than me, took the weeks, and I the weekends.
My gran had a hernia and also a morbid fear of hospitals. It was about 55 years ago and I imagine that techniques have changed since then She therefore refused to have an operation. Every morning, she used to wind this immense truss around her before getting fully dressed. Nonetheless, she still had difficulty in walking and leant very heavily over to the right. On the basis of my observations, you have made the right decision!
I have to say that my gran was a super cook and her bread pudding was something to die for.
