| | | Radio York interview 8th Jan @ 12.05 I shall be doing an interview with Elly Fiorentini on Monday - WAB a year on. If anyone has any comments they'd like to make about why they use/enjoy WAB please let me know. I spoke to Elly at this time last year, and intend to tell her about our WWF shortlisting last
year (for the best British environmental website). Also the great contribution by members towards the success of our first calendar, and some of the meets arranged by you, our members.
Increased numbers of members - not far off 7,000, the huge picture gallery, forums, editing and moderating and members general involvement will be mentioned, but maybe you have a particular reason for being a member and would like me to mention the 'WAB effect' for you personally and why this website, as opposed to others?

Tinkerbell | Can't think of anything else at the moment Tink, but I do like the term "WAB effect" its quite appropriate.

| | | Re: Radio York interview 8th Jan @ 12.05 Tink, the WAB effect... the warmth of welcome, the quality of pictures, the information and help freely given. The educational aspect. I know how much I have learnt since joining. The way everyone works together for the benefit of the group. If it doesnt sound daft there is an element of fellowship and family too
A difficult thing to pin on any one aspect of the forum. Thank you Mods and admin and those who produced the calendar.

| | | Re: Radio York interview 8th Jan @ 12.05 Just thought I'd let you know I'm planning to mention Wild Places and have just looked to see if the one I'm mentioning is listed - NO! What a plonker (but it may have been lost during an update) - I'll give it a mention anyway. Rail Trail North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

| | | Re: Radio York interview 8th Jan @ 12.05 Well, that's blown your cover, Tinkerbell! As a relative newbie, I didn't know you were the mother of the site. Managed to listen to the interview thanks to the wonders of the internet.
I thought it was a really good interview - you did very well to get all the key points over, and the members' quotes worked well. If you were nervous it didn't come over - you sounded very assured and confident. It will be interesting to see what effect it has on the membership, particularly in your neck of the woods. |

Not easy answering questions for as long as that...must have been about ten minutes plus.
If anyone else fancies having a go at a similar thing in their area then let me know and I'll put together some facts and figures, now we know what some of the questions might be.

P.S. Can't believe you mentioned my name again Pick on someone else next time, like Widlone, Matt_xyz, glsammy etc |

All those notes you want to refer to and you don't get the right intro question . However, I did find it a lot easier than last time and some of you learnt a little more about WABs 'conception and birth'. Once again, a big thank you to all who contribute and without whom this site would be just Stu and me asking one another questions!!! and maybe coming up with the occasional answer.
Tinkerbell
PS I don't really sound like that. And now, back to the cleaning. |

jaki | Hi Jaki
The WAV file is almost 90 Mb in size. I'm posting a much reduced size to Stu so he can decide how best to use it on WAB.

You can still listen to it Jaki. Just click on the link earlier in this thread and click on the Elly Fiorentini link and you can hear her whole program again! You can move forward in 15 minutes sections to find the right part.
