With wintry weather forecast for us this week, I sat in the twilight yesterday, watching the clouds as the sun set with varying degrees of colour and light; plus the odd bird making its way into a nesting box to roost. Magical!

And it didn't cost a penny.

Re: Next

It started to snow quite heavily here this morning, then the sun came out, so I took the opportunity of taking photos of some of our garden birds.

Unfortunately where the main feeder station is sited the sun is virtually directly behind where I stand to take the photos, which doesn't make for perfect photography.

I have attached 5 of my mornings photos.

Re: Next

beautiful pics...and the robins seem to stay at you also in winter. Here they leave during wintermonths.
Do you also have also bramblings in winter ?

Sadly although the squirrels performed and the buzzards sat foursquare on their telegraph poles the only worthwhile shot was of my niece, not exactly wildlife but pretty close

Hi allerleirauh.

We have an influx of various birds from the continent over here including Bramblings, allthough I haven't heard of large counts of them yet this winter.

Glad you liked the pics BTW.

I have had one or two Squirrels visit our garden and here is one from Yesterday. We have also had a visit from a surprising couple of Moths in our Kitchen. The first Moth is aptily named as the Winter Moth aned the 2nd goes by the strange latin name of Depressaria pastinacella.
