| | | One up for the hunted Just saw this video clip on MSN of a stag having his revenge on a hunter.
Could be like the Queens of the Stoneage video if you know what I mean! MSN Video

| | | Re: One up for the hunted Oh yes - kinda of puts your faith back where it belongs. On a much more tame note but sort of along the same lines, I love it when a horse chestnut tree throws its "obblie onkers" at unsuspecting passers-by - its nature getting its own back on us. Lets face it the human race deserves a slap in the face and a ticking off now and then - and that deer certainly gave the hunter his best shot!! |

He got out and shook his fist at the tree
As for the stag, he could have done more damage with his antlers!
A few years ago a big fishing boat was sunk when it's catch of mackerel made a sudden dive for it, that made me smile

| | | Re: One up for the hunted Yep BWD, some council cut them down because they were a danger to the public.. another banned hanging baskets for the same reason.. dispite the fact that the town had become known for them over the past 50 or more years without anyone being hurt by them!
jaki
PS Honeybee.. wonderful bit of vid. wondered why the hunter was doing very little to defend himself tho... he could surely have had a go back... wonder if he was hurt by the stag.

Unfortunately it is not H&S gone mad again, but the local council protecting itself from an imminent claim by the undesirables in society.
People can successfully make compensation claims for injuries and suffering sustained by this sort of thing.
(it's also one of the reasons why I'm getting out of the H&S game - too much paperwork and too many court cases that are settled out of court, not because your company has done wrong, but beacause it's cheaper to do so!)
I'll be smiling again in February when I start a new job.

It never ceases to amaze me that some of our European neighbours enjoy watching this sort of thing and aren't in any way concerned about the cruelty of it all.

I noticed that his 'mate' just stood there filming it. |
