| | | WAB Badge Any news on the creation/availability of a WAB Badge or pin?
It would make recognising each other at WAB Meets and Moots much easier than wearing a red carnation and carrying a copy of a select Newspaper. I mean cummon, can you remember the password? |

| | | Re: WAB Badge Nothing to do with badges but the ad that google came up with on this thread was used wind turbine for sale in Germany, quite wierd......perhaps we can turn up at meets clutching a wind turbine in our left hand and a two day old copy of the times in our right!
PS it was in German so I could't see what they wanted but we have too many 'ere soon if the Scottish Executive have their own way. |

| | | Re: WAB Badge What about an iron-on transfer with a logo, which would be cheap to produce, cheap to post, and could go on a T-shirt or birding hat or bag? If it was bright and distinctive enough? If it was black and white or black and yellow, it would show up on most things? (Except zebras and bumble bees )

| | | Re: WAB Badge What do you think guys? We got the Calendar going in a similar way and everyone was delighted with that. I'm sure there would be enough interest for this too. Especially as a little badge is not going to be a great deal of money to pay up in advance for, I don't think many people would mind doing that.
Maybe if you could come up with a design, show us a pic and see what the response is from the membership? |

| | | Re: WAB Badge Having looked at some prices if stu is agreable I would be willing to stake the cash for, and organise production of either a 25mm enamel badge or a 3" iron on patch (note this is an either/ or as i cant afford to stake both)
design wise it can be up to 5 colours so the photographic designs we have for car stickers will not work, so i would suggest that we use the green UJ or another similar design (when I get home tonight I will put a couple of possible designs up)
Price wise either of these will be about £3 plus 50p postage and packing and I would want to see at least 100 pre ordered before i laid out the dough (note we could do it with 50 but the price will be higher)
alternatively or additionally we could get much more cheaply made 25mm button badges which would be 50p each plus 50p p+p (min order of 100)
There isnt a lot of profit in either of these but whatever there is would naturally go to the site.

| | | Re: WAB Badge Enamel badges sound ideal. We would want something with a bit of quality to it obviously as it would be saying something about the site to anyone who sees them. £3.50 is easily doable. I don't mind coming up with a bit more if need be though.
The good thing about the badge over the iron on patch is that you can move it to whatever you're wearing at the time. Stating the obvious I know.
It may only bring a little revenue in to WAB but small moves, eh |
